Shows That Brings Drama and Fashion Together!

So yes, we are going to admit it. Although we are two moms who are obviously beyond the "right out of college years", we still look forward to watching two of our favorite shows . . .The City and The Hills. And yes, these shows are filled with young girls, drama filled lives and money galore. So, is it wrong that two moms in their thirties, DVR and wait anxiously for the upcoming week of a new episode to air?? We say . . .OF COURSE NOT!!

Yes, we may be out-of-the-loop when it comes to living as a young, single, twenty something . . .but we are still hip mamas who absolutely love young hip fashion, celebrity ladies and all the drama that goes along with it. And both of these shows have all of the above.

Ahhh . . .to have the job that Olivia has on "The City". What a dream job that must be . . .shopping on Canal Street strictly because it's on your "to-do" list for your job that day . . .looking for top accessories to feature on upcoming morning shows and fashion magazines. Putting together a "Look for Less" wardrobe. Watching The City, especially since it takes place in our FAVORTIE City - NYC . . . gives us a moment to live through the villian of the show. We may not like her personality . . . but we'll take her job in a heartbeat!

Now on the the Hills . . . is Audrina just a fashion "Diva" or what?! We love her style and especially love her sweet personality. Now if only she had that same "sense" when it came to the men in her life.

So all you ladies in your thirties . . .all you mommies out there . . .go ahead - get excited about these shows! Don't let your age stop you from curling up on the couch and zoning in on some great reality tv. They keep you up to date on the "ins and outs" of fashion and they of course keep you young at heart!!

Makeup, Makeup, Makeup!

Always talking about fashion, we decided to chat about another one of our "girlie-girl" loves . . .MAKEUP! And the great thing about this fall is . . .you can go barely there "nude" to a more daring look with bold colors. We are seeing both this seaon! Lips that are full with warm color tones . . . sand, nudes, beige and honey colors actually bright up a face. However, if you decide to do bold lips with a cherry toned stain . . . than you must do a natural eye. Pick one or the other . . .or opt for a completely natural look all around.

Metallics and shades of purple are great for the eyes. A bit of shimmer goes a long way! Shades of browns are always popular . . . with skinny eyeliner and mascara to top it off.

Some of our favorite brands . . .Smashbox, Chanel . . . and even Ulta mineral duos have great pigmentation. A little goes a long way . . .and they seem to last all day long. Laura Mercier has a lip stain that is out of this world . . . beautiful nude color that not only lasts all day, but it isn't drying like many other lip stains. Our favorite . . . "Shy Pink".

Sheer foundation that allows your own skin to come through. A brush of bronzer swept lightly across your face will give your face the subtle glow it will need in the upcoming months.

Fall Trends For 2009!

That's right ladies, ruffles are what you will be seeing this fall. Feminine and just plain "girlie", you will see ruffles on tops, handbags and even shoes!! All the glamour magazines are showing those hot celebrities "sporting" the "ruffle look"!

So what else can you look for this season to spruce up your wardrobe and up to date with your look . . . Sheer Fabrics! Floral sheer tops look great on everyone - and can be worn casually with a pair of jeans, or dressed up with a cute skirt. However, be sure to wear a little cami underneath . . .no need to show more than you need to!

The "BLING" this Spring!

So, with all of those adorable patterned dresses and skirts that are in style this season, what can you wear to add some "bling". This Spring we are seeing shades of greens, corals, yellows and soft purples in necklaces, bracelets and earrings. So, put away some of your gold and silver, and take out some of your more colorful pieces of jewelry.


That's right - it's bold clothing, as well as BOLD BLING!! Whether it's a large or small piece, you want it to have some crazy or fun design to it . . .as well as pretty spring tones! Multi-colored stone rings, chandelier earrings all in fun styles.

That's right, this spring and summer you will see lots of skirts and dresses in style . . . all different kinds! Bubble hemlines are still as hot as they were last season, as well as, long skirts, short skirts, pleated skirts and skirts with pockets.

Which Sunglasses Best Complement your Face Shape?

• With Summer right around the corner now is the time to choose that new pair of sunglasses. Always remember when choosing sunglasses that your eye should be positioned in the center of the lens.
